Karisia / Tumaren Community Kids Art Contest
Art makes the world go around. It challenges us to see life differently and helps us solve problems, create things, and even sell those things. Yet in Kenya—where innovation, culture, and storytelling run deep—art and creative skills too often receive less academic attention than they deserve. With that in mind, we are excited to share an initiative close to our hearts.
This season, we launched a children’s art contest for our neighboring communities. The contest is designed to celebrate young talent and give local children an opportunity to express their ideas, stories, and hopes through art. This is where we need help!
We need judges. Would you be interested? Please write to using the form below if you can help become a judge. We are only looking for impartiality and a love of art ! (We just can not take anyone related to the artists). Our Judging will begin March 1st.
Some Of The Submissions Below!
There are three age categories—Under 18, Under 14, and Under 10—with winners in each group receiving a small cash prize. Each winner will also enjoy an inspiring trip to Nairobi, where they will visit art galleries, explore the Kenya Museum, and spend a night in the city. Paintings, Drawings and Sculptures will be accepted in the following themes: Wildlife, Livestock / Domestic Animals, Culture / People, Landscapes.
We are thrilled to support these young artists and look forward to sharing their creativity and the results of the contest with you in the coming month.
