Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi

Your British Airways flight (BA65) arrives into Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 9:05 pm. On arrival, a representative from Tradewinds will meet you at the aircraft and assist you through immigration, baggage collection and customs before introducing you to your driver from Hemmingways.

From the airport, you will be transferred to the elegant Hemmingways Nairobi, located in the peaceful, leafy suburb of Karen. Set against the backdrop of the Ngong Hills, the hotel provides a tranquil retreat after your international journey, allowing you to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

You will spend one night in three Executive Single Rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Your stay includes express check-in and check-out, complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite television, bottled mineral water, fresh fruit and flowers in your room, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and full use of the gym, sauna, steam room and outdoor swimming pool.

Days 2–4 – Sirikoi House, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

After a leisurely breakfast at Hemmingways, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport in time for your private charter flight with East African Air Charters. A hemingways driver will assure that you arrive approximately 45 minutes before your 11:00 am departure. The short flight takes you north over Kenya's diverse landscapes, arriving at Lewa Downs Airstrip at approximately 11:45 am, where you will be met and transferred to Sirikoi House.

Nestled beneath ancient acacia trees on the renowned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Sirikoi House offers an exclusive base from which to explore one of Kenya's most celebrated conservation areas. Over the next three nights, you will enjoy exceptional wildlife viewing with guided morning and evening game drives in your private vehicle, guided bush walks, bird watching, and the opportunity to track both black and white rhino on foot. Other experiences include bush breakfasts, picnic excursions, sundowners in spectacular locations, visits to Lewa headquarters, the tracker dogs and conservation projects, prehistoric archaeological sites, traditional bao games, running in the bush with Sirikoi's rangers, visits to the wildlife hides, and tours of the property's organic garden.

A particular highlight of your stay comes on the morning of 23 August, when a helicopter, positioned at Sirikoi the previous afternoon, will collect you for an unforgettable aerial adventure across northern Kenya. Departing at approximately 8:00 am, you will follow the winding Ewaso Ng'iro River north towards the striking sacred mountain of Ol Lolokwe, where you will land for a short guided walk and refreshments overlooking the dramatic cliffs. From here, the flight continues to the renowned Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, where you will witness the midday feeding of orphaned elephant calves before returning to Sirikoi in time for a late lunch and an afternoon at leisure or on safari.

Your stay is on a full board basis and includes soft drinks, beers, house wines and selected house spirits, together with Wi-Fi, daily laundry service, and use of the heated swimming pool and gym, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay in the heart of Lewa.

Days 5–7 – Serian Kimya Kimya, Mara North Conservancy

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your private charter flight with East African Air Charters to the Mara North Conservancy, departing at 10:00 am. Following the scenic one-hour flight, you will arrive at approximately 11:00 am, where your guide from Serian Kimya Kimya will be waiting to transfer you into camp.

Set in a secluded corner of the Mara North Conservancy, Serian Kimya Kimya offers an intimate safari experience in one of Kenya's finest wildlife destinations. Over the next three nights, you will enjoy the freedom of exploring the conservancy with your own exclusive 4WD safari vehicle, private guide and spotter, allowing each day to unfold at your own pace. Unlimited game drives, guided walks, sundowners, bush breakfasts, picnic lunches and meals in the wilderness provide countless opportunities to experience the Mara's remarkable wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Your stay also includes all drinks, daily laundry service, and, when available, the chance to spend a memorable night in one of Serian's unique treehouse "Nests." A seasonal photographer-in-residence is also on hand to help capture your time in the bush.

On the morning of the 25th, you will rise well before dawn and depart camp for Little Governors' Camp, arriving at the balloon launch site by approximately 5:30 am. Weather permitting, your hot air balloon will lift off around sunrise, drifting silently over the plains as the wildlife awakens below. After a flight of around 45 minutes to an hour, you will land in the bush for a celebratory champagne breakfast before enjoying a leisurely game drive back to camp, arriving at approximately 11:15 am.

Day 8 – Departure

After a final breakfast in the Maasai Mara, you will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your private charter flight with East African Air Charters, departing at 11:00 am. You will arrive at Wilson Airport at approximately 11:45 am, where a driver from Airports and Beyond will be waiting to meet you.

You will have a private vehicle and driver at your disposal for the remainder of the day, giving you the flexibility to enjoy lunch, some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Nairobi before your international departure. At the appropriate time, your driver will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your British Airways flight to London Heathrow, departing at 10:55 pm, marking the end of your Kenyan safari.
