Bookings & Sales Executive

We are looking for an energetic, intelligent and highly communicative individual to join our bookings and sales team at Karisia Walking Safaris and Tumaren Camp in northern Kenya.

This role would suit either:

  • An experienced booking agent with a background in safari, hospitality or travel sales, or

  • A recent university graduate with excellent academic results, curiosity about the world, and a demonstrated ability to think independently and communicate exceptionally well.

We are looking for applicants who can show genuine initiative, clarity in written communication, and confidence engaging with both international agents and prospective guests.

The Role Includes:

  • Responding promptly and professionally to guest and agent enquiries

  • Producing safari costings and quotations

  • Preparing invoices and tax invoices

  • Assisting with sales and client relations

  • Working closely with accountants and operational staff

  • Managing bookings and logistics with precision and attention to detail

  • Representing our company with warmth, intelligence and professionalism

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Writes and communicates exceptionally well

  • Has a strong interest in world affairs, global news, geography and cultures beyond their own

  • Is organised, numerate and detail-oriented

  • Can think creatively and solve problems independently

  • Learns quickly and enjoys responsibility

  • Is personable, adaptable and calm under pressure

  • Has strong computer skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, documents and email correspondence. Applicants need to demonstrate in their cover letter how they might harness AI to help them fullfill the above responsibilities.

Experience in travel or hospitality is valuable but not essential for exceptional candidates. An interest in travel is essential.
