It is very easy to just be at Tumaren Camp. While activities and adventures can be pursued at any moment, just sitting and watching what wildlife walks past, is equally popular. The sweeping plain in front of the camp is often visited by sometimes countless wildlife and a rich menagerie of birds live and thrive in the trees around the camp.

Early morning or evening walks are a great way to start or end the day. With our guides and trackers our guests can experience Africa as it has always been experienced, with senses filled by observations a vehicle might pass. For the walkers we have riding camels always at the ready to carry passengers or just to carry snacks, camera bags or extra gear. For those that would prefer a game drive, the landcruisers are always on standby. Masai Style bush running is also very popular with our visitors who want to keep their fitness extra sharp and a Masai Market visit or Football with our local team are also fun activities. We have 35 set top rope climbs for those guests keen on rock climbing, with plenty of tricky routes as well as those for the complete novice. We often climb while Elephants munch on trees below.

A week on safari at Tumaren is a week in another world. If there is business to complete during that time we can easily accommodate with internet, mobile network and space to be creative. For students that need to continue classes we can provide not only the bandwidth but also one of the greatest biology labs on Earth. Consider a longer safari experience, one with the time to uncover aspects of the place that don’t show themselves in shorter periods. A week at Tumaren Camp is a week of wilderness elixir and a decommission from the buzz of a more human world.
