A
Samburu Led Safari provides a unique perspective from where
a guest can see the beauty of northern Kenya through the
eyes of some of its people. Our Samburu Led Safaris incorporate
the same routes that our Expedition
and Luxury Walking Safaris
do, but because these safaris use a slightly lighter camp,
they cost less to organize and that savings can be passed
on to our guests. Beer and Wine as well as excellent meals
are all provided on each Samburu Led Safari. Your guides
are Gabriel Ewoi (pictured below left), Lenjoh Lewarges
(pictured below right), Boniface Lekiddiding or Henry Naptare.
A
Samburu Led Safari provides a similar experience to our
Luxury trips but with a slightly more modest tent (1 foot
smaller and no veranda), no spirits - just beer and wine,
and optional visits to a local Masai homestead would be
at an extra cost. All our guides speak excellent English
and travel with an excellent team of trackers, camp staff,
camel staff and fine cooks.
All
of the itineraries for our walking safaris in northern Kenya
are feasible for a Samburu Led Safari but it is also possible
for us to go on shorter trips. Even a two night trip is
possible and this has been popular with people interested
in trekking between Luxury Laikipia Lodges.
In order to view these safaris in Google
Earth you must download
the free software here. Another option is to get a
'plug in' for
a browser like Firefox or Explorer 6/7. After you
have downloaded these you can download the above files,
either saving them to open (say to your desktop) or choosing
to open them with Google Earth in the dialogue box that
is generated when you press the above safari KMZ files.
Whats more is that now you can also upload these files
to your own GPS and know where you are as you walk.
